OKX Announcement on Launching Peer-to-Peer T+N Risk Control Strategy
Dear OKX customers:
To enhance OKX P2P trading security, the platform launched the P2P T+N security protection function at 17:00 (HKT) on February 7, 2022.
This function is valid for all platform customers (including platform-certified/Diamond Merchants), meaning all equivalent assets purchased through P2P trading must wait 'T+N' days before they can be withdrawn or sold through P2P trading, but it does not affect other trades and financial services;
About the "T+N" Security Protection Feature
This "T+N" security protection feature means that after a customer actively buys coins (takes an order) via P2P trading on the platform, the platform's risk control system will comprehensively assess the buyer's trading behavior and temporarily restrict withdrawals or P2P sales of assets equivalent to that transaction for the buyer. However, it does not affect other trades or financial services.
For example: If a customer originally had 3,000 USDT in their account and then purchased an additional 1,000 USDT via the Express or P2P trading zone, the actual restricted asset amount would be encrypted assets equivalent to "1,000 USDT".
Within the "T+N" period, the customer can actually withdraw 3,000 USDT. In this scenario, the prerequisite for executing a withdrawal or sell operation is to ensure that the remaining asset value is not less than 1,000 USDT.
The T+N security protection function can effectively prevent customer property losses caused by the inflow of risky funds and more effectively guarantee the security of platform customer assets.
The implementation of restrictions exceeding 24h or even longer for some customers is based on the platform's refined risk control operation settings, aiming to deter the inflow of risky funds to the platform to the greatest extent, reduce the risk of bank accounts being frozen, and mitigate customer funds risk.
